Academy board bans Will Smith from attending the Oscars for 10 years

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Board of Governors decided on Friday that actor Will Smith will not be able to attend the Oscars or any related events for 10 years after he slapped Chris Rock during the ceremony on March 27, Deadline reports. Smith, who won the Oscar for Best Actor for his role in King Richard, resigned from the Academy on April 1.
